My curl story

My curl journey didn’t start with healthy curls. It actually started with completely damaged hair.

For about three years, I straightened my hair constantly because I didn’t understand my natural curls and didn’t know how to take care of them. At one point it became a daily habit, and sometimes I even straightened my hair multiple times a day because the ends would start curling again. Instead of learning how to work with my hair, I kept trying to fight against it.

Over time, my curls became extremely damaged. My hair lost its natural pattern and looked more like loose, uneven waves. What used to be healthy curls started looking closer to a weak 2B texture, and I honestly thought my real curls were gone forever.

In 2023 I decided to start learning how to take care of my hair properly. But the journey wasn’t perfect. I failed multiple times. There were moments when I got frustrated and went back to straightening again because it felt easier.

What I learned from that time is that hair recovery is not a straight line. Progress takes patience, and sometimes you take a few steps back before moving forward again.

For the past year, I’ve stayed consistent with my routine and focused on repairing my hair instead of damaging it. Slowly, my curls started coming back. Today my hair has transformed from extremely damaged waves into healthy 3A curls again, and I’m still continuing to learn and improve my routine.

That’s exactly why I created Soft Curl Reset.

I know what it feels like to struggle with your hair, to feel frustrated, and to think your curls are ruined. But I also know that with the right knowledge and consistency, your hair can recover.

If you’ve made mistakes before or feel like you’ve “failed” your curl routine, that’s completely okay. I’ve been there too. What matters is that you keep going and give your hair the chance to heal.

Your curls aren’t gone. They’re just waiting for the right care.
